Course Overview

This course equips Tribal participants with tools, resources, and references to create economic resilience at the micro- and macro-economic levels. The course provides economic development, business, and community resilience stakeholders with a disaster risk reduction tool that can be applied for local businesses and industries. Each lesson provides an opportunity for application of a business/industry disaster risk assessment, impact analysis, and mitigation measures to develop strategies for risk reduction and resilience that are specific for Tribal Nations. Participants will learn how to assess disaster risk for their Tribal Nation and throughout their supply chain and customer segments. The course content is customized for Tribal-related risks and industries, and practical exercises enable participants to apply the risk reduction method at the business and community level to enhance economic resilience.
